Peer Review Ethics:

Given the significant impact of peer review results on the evaluation and scoring of research activities for faculty members, students, and researchers, it is imperative that all esteemed reviewers, in their capacity as scientific judges, engage in a more profound examination of the paper’s content. Beyond assessing minor writing and structural details, reviewers should evaluate the overall structure of the article as a scholarly work that influences the field of studies on urban space and public places, which is the primary thematic area of the “Journal of Urban studies on Space and Place”.

Esteemed reviewers are requested to carefully and deeply study the articles and, by providing their feedback, prevent the publication of low-quality articles that lack scientific merit. Reviewers are kindly asked to consider the following points:

  • Evaluate the paper based on its scientific value and the journal’s specific criteria.
  • Provide constructive feedback to the author for the improvement or revision of the paper’s content.
  • Assess the paper’s alignment with the journal’s objectives and vision.

Furthermore, to preserve the value of the peer review process and to enhance the “Journal of Urban studies on Space and Place”, reviewers are requested to submit their review outcomes in the Publons system according to the following guidelines.
