چکیده

چکیده
فاصله بین نظریه و حرفه مسئله‌ای است که پژوهشگران بسیاری سال‌های متوالی برای حل آن در رشته‌های مختلف تلاش کرده‌اند. طراحی شهری به‌عنوان رشته‌ای حرفه مبنا، با چالشی گسترده در این زمینه روبرو است که شکاف نظریات مطرح‌شده در این حوزه فاصله بسیاری از حرفه دارد. تلاش‌های فراوانی برای پوشش دادن فاصله بین نظریه و عمل از طریق راهبردهای اجرایی انجام‌شده است، اما همچنان این اختلاف دیده می‌شود. این مطالعه باهدف بررسی جایگاه نظریه و حرفه در طراحی شهری معاصر، مبتنی بر تحلیل آرای صاحب‌نظران طراحی‌شهری و شناخت معیارهای ارزیابی آن در طراحی شهری معاصر انجام شده است. از آنجا که طراحی شهری، شاخه‌ای بین‌رشته‌ای از طراحی است، برقراری ارتباط بین نظریات گسترده مطرح‌شده و تداوم نظریه در حرفه واجد اهمیت ویژه‌ای می‌باشد. نتایج تحقیق نشان می‌دهد که از طریق مشارکت ذینفعان مختلف نظریه و حرفه، تسهیل و حمایت از مهارت‌ها و رویکردهای حرفه مبتنی بر شواهد و نتایج می‌تواند اختلاف بین این دو زمینه را کاهش و پلی بین این دو زمینه ایجاد نماید

Abstract
The gap between theory and profession has been the issue of researchers in multi-disciplinary fields for many years. Urban design as a practice-based discipline faces a broad challenge, that the gap of theories proposed in this field is far from the profession. Several attempts have been done to bridge the gap between theory and practice through practical strategies, but this gap still remains. This study aimed at investigating this gap in contemporary urban design based on analyzing the urban design experts and recognizing the main criteria to measure this gap in contemporary urban design. Since urban design is an interdisciplinary branch of design, the connection between theories and their continuity in practice is critical. The result of research indicates that the participation of different stakeholders of theory and practice, supporting skills, and practice-based approaches such as evidence-based practice can bridge the gap between theory and practice in contemporary urban design.
